Annual World-F.I.M.A General Assembly was held on April 1, 2008 in Warsaw, Poland

At the present time, nine specialized exhibitions are members of World-F.I.M.A. representing it at four continents. PTA is the only Russian exhibition being a member of World-F.I.M.A.

Annual World-F.I.M.A General Assembly was held on April 1, 2008 in Warsaw, Poland. Directors of World-F.I.M.A. member exhibitions were received by organizers of Automaticon – a Polish exhibition, which was held from 1st through 4th of April this year. Automaticon is the most important trade fair for automation, measurement, control, and robotics in Poland. This event's mission is to promote new technology and solutions for industry playing critical role in economic growth. Organizers of this event are: "Industrial scientific-research institute for automation and instrumentation (PIAP)" and MVM Ltd. They holds this exhibition annually with support of State Committee for Scientific Research. Over 300 exhibitors participated in Automaticon show this year. The fair offers good opportunity to see new products, software, components, measuring devices, and complete applications.

The Assembly has adopted the following decisions:

1. Affiliate a Brazilian exhibition organized by ISA Expo
2. Recognize as an Association member not only PTA-Moscow exhibition, but also all PTA shows held in Russian Federation – PTA-Ural, PTA-SPb, and PTA-Siberia. Include these events in World-F.I.M.A. calendar.
3. Assign PTA-Moscow as a venue for the next World-F.I.M.A. General Assembly in 2009.
